I am Scott Muzzey, I am a drummer and welcome to my Page!
I started playing the drums over 50 years ago at the age of 7 or 8, in the local elementary school band. I got my first drum kit at the age of 11 or 12 and started playing with local musicians as a young teen, as many did in my hometown of Lombard, IL. At 18 I joined a local gigging heavy metal band, Hedstone. We played at many local Chicagoland bars in the early to mid 80’s, such as Malo’s, the Showcase Lounge, and the Thirsty Whale. In 1986, I took what I thought would be a temporary break, as I was going to become a first time dad. Well, that “temporary” break lasted about 30 years. I only practiced my drums, and not very often over that time. That was until a very dear friend and fellow musician took me under his musical wing about 10 years ago. My friend, whom we used to play together as high school kids, started jamming with me which led to playing with others. I have played with several bands in this short period of time. This journey has lead me to rediscover my original passion I once had for the drums. I have learned that I am a true musician, as a true musician cannot quit music, because one cannot quit who they are. Being a musician is who you are, not just something you do. I dedicate this page to showing the public my passion for the drums!
